Quick Homemade Pizza

Our Masterpiece!

For some reason, we have never made a pizza at home before. Now that we know how easy and GOOD it is, I have a feeling we will be experimenting with this concept.

We started with a premade pizza crust from Henrys called Organic Rustic Crust, it doesn't look like much in the package, but trust me, it tastes better than it looks.

First, lightly brush a thin layer of olive oil all over the pizza crust. I bought a jar (gasp!) of Paul Newman's Own Roasted Garlic and Peppers sauce, because it was on sale, it's actually pretty good. We spread a thin layer of sauce all over but avoided 1/2 inch around  the edge.

Our chosen toppings: Mozzarella cheese, chorizo sausage, mushrooms, thinly sliced tomatoes, roasted garlic, red onion, dried oregano & basil, and pepper to taste. Of course you can use anything you like...... but seriously, try something new!

Pre-heat oven to 425, and place the whole pizza directly on the rack and bake for 8 to 14 minutes, or until toppings are hot and cheese is melted. Served with a side salad, this is a pretty healthy, quick and easy dinner, what more do you want?
