Chris-minty Martinis

Ho Ho Ho! Here is a frosty treat for all you Santa's up late tonight wrapping all those last minute gifts.....and it will surely help you forget about how much money you spent....... you only need one!

Wishing you and yours a very happy holiday and a joyous new year! Enjoy the season, and the seasonings in abundance!

Chris-minty Martinis

Miniature candy canes
2 1/2 ounces vanilla vodka
1 ounce peppermint schnapps
½ ounce dry vermouth
Fresh mint
Lime wedge

Crush about 5-6 mini candy canes on a plate to rim the martini glasses. If you don’t want to rim with crushed candy canes then just dangle a miniature candy cane on the rim of each glass.

Wet the rim of the glass with a lime wedge and coat with crushed candy canes. Chill the glasses in the freezer for about 10 minutes.

Pour vodka and schnapps in a shaker over crushed ice and shake well.

Pour a splash of vermouth into the ice cold Martini glasses. Swirl the vermouth around the glass 3 times, discard what’s left.

Strain peppermint martini into Vermouth coated glass and garnish with a sprig of mint. Sip and enjoy!

  1. Talk about festive!!! I forwarded this to a couple of friends and one is making it for New Years! Nicely done...

  2. YUM! I may be making these for New Years! I have a bottle of Creme de Mint...wonder if I could substitute that?

  3. I always encourage experimenting! I like the creme de mint idea....might try it myself!

  4. This sounds like such a fun drink! Thank you for the recipe! I love the crushed candy canes around the rim of the glass!
